Landscape architects MacLeod Reckord invited PLACE to join them in
the master planning and renovation of an abandoned tourist camp in
Snohomish, Washington. Research involved hiking through heavy
underbrush to find the old cabins and document them; the design of
the new pavilions and bridge took cues from historic parks structures
throughout the US national parks system. Durable materials require
little or no maintenance to resist weather, time, and heavy seasonal
use.
